Publisher Description: Quality if Life (QoL) after solid organ transplant is investigated to explore the possible medical and psychosocial factors influencing health outcomes. The present study aimed to investigate the psychosocial predictors of satisfaction with QoL among renal transplant recipients (RTRs) after a successful kidney transplant with healthy graft functioning. In this study we focus on a range of psychosocial factors as predictors of QoL after kidney transplant and evaluate recipients' satisfaction with four major domains of life, including; physical health functioning, psychological and spiritual well-being, social, economic and family life. These predictors include family & social support, financial status, medical facilities, and attitude of doctors, faith, will power, education, awareness / insight, marital status, personality type, compliance, acceptance, medication side-effects, and belief system. The aim is to deveop awareness about causes, symptoms and complications of kidney disease and transplantation focusing on psychosocial issues that can influence health outcomes after kidney transplant. |
