The authors of this volume explain and assess cooperation as an element of governance in the health system from various jurisprudential perspectives. They deal with forms of cooperation from the standpoint of basic constitutional rights and the principle of democracy, discuss them using a theory of standard setting approach and analyze them on the basis of institutional economics. In view of the common federal committee of physicians and health insurance institutions and in order to evaluate new forms of medical care, they have included the experiences of practitioners as well. This is the second volume which presents the results of the work done by the scholarly network Competition - Cooperation - Supervision: Control Instruments in the Health System Law.
