Publisher Description: One legend has it that the term PoPo originated in Southern California in the 1980s describing two Police Officers riding side by side on bicycle duty patrolling the beaches with the initials Po, for Police Officer, on their T-shirts, hence, the term PoPo The term has evolved over time and can refer to only one Officer as well. Whether the legend is true or not, in this Children's Book, my use of the word PoPo is not intended to be degrading nor disrespectful to Law Enforcement. To the contrary, I am using it in a humorous, but respectful, way honoring my son, a Sheriff Deputy, and all those in Law Enforcement who perform their oath with honesty and integrity. Especially do I honor all those Law Enforcement personnel who have given their lives in the line of duty serving our communities.
