Publisher Description:

Most people, including myself are afraid of being honest because of the fear of the outcome. We may feel that telling a fib will be the easy way out. This is why Layla gives another example of how kids can handle that fear and try to bring whatever situation they may be in to a better outcome. Not only does Layla demonstrates honesty in this book, but she also shows how to give back more by apologizing. She goes out her way to add an extra good deed with her apology for telling a fib. In conclusion, Layla the Ladybug feels better about herself and she feels less stress. I want to inspire all kids using the character Layla the Ladybug, to overcome that feeling of fear and to be honest. Try to handle a difficult situation with honesty, and follow it up by demonstrating a good deed.

Contributor Bio(s): Johnson, Darlington: - Darlington Johnson was born on February 21, 1997, in Southfield, Michigan. At the age of five, Darlington and her mother moved to Texas. In her spare time she enjoys writing, reading, playing basketball and drawing. She also volunteered for six years at a church in the youth ministry department. Darlington appreciates her mother, father, godfather Tony, family, friends and above all, our Heavenly Father. Today, Darlington encourages many kids to tell the truth, no matter how hard it can be. We are human beings. Mistakes will be made. Keep in mind, when we set our minds to something, we can eventually achieve it-overcome the fear.
