Contributor Bio(s): Nicole, Begay: - Nicole Begay is an artist based in Arizona, USA. She grew up as a student of authors and illustrators, particularly those she read and admired from kindergarten through first grade. She met Janet when she attended Janet's K-6 charter school, East Valley Academy. Nicole started drawing at a very young age, and now uses her talent in fashion design work. She used Ta'Aroa's Light to enhance her drawing and painting skills and help a story come to life.Ron Oster: - Ron Oster was a real life passenger aboard the doomed flight from Los Angeles to Tahiti. He witnessed adventure, heroism, and international volunteer spirit. Today, Ron manages Rawhide Travel Agency in Arizona.Janet, Stoeppelmann: - Janet Stoeppelmann holds bachelor of arts and master's degrees in music composition and was the first woman to be granted a music composition degree at the Univeristy of South Florida. Janet has been a college music instructor and classical radio host. For the past twenty years, she and her husband Ken Ryan have operated a charter school in Mesa, Arizona. In graduate school, Janet studied the music of the Pacific region. She made several trips to the Hawaiian islands and became familiar with legends of the Polynesian people. |
