All of our bargain books are brand new, perfectly readable and represent a tremendous value! The bargain books are, however, publisher overstocks and remainders that TRW purchases at deep discounts. As a result, they may have a small mark through the UPC bar code or a small mark on the side of the book. This is simply to mark the books so they cannot be sent back to a publisher. Because of this, bargain books are non returnable to TRW unless they are damaged. Please consider this before ordering.

Jason's parents have been hired to work at a historic lighthouse along the California coast. The lighthouse is built along steep cliffs, surrounded by fog, and far from the nearest town. The last caretakers left in a hurry, and it doesn't take long to see why. Several accidents and the discovery of a hidden diary convince Jason the lighthouse is cursed. Will The Atlas of Cursed Places provide some answers before someone gets hurt...or worse?

Reviewed by Horn Book Guide Reviews (Horn Book Guide Reviews 2017 Spring)
In each tame horror story set in a haunted locale--a lighthouse (Tower), cave (Breakdown), and mountaintop (Anchor)--the protagonist finds clues to lifting the site's curse in the mysterious Atlas of Cursed Places. Breakdown is less conclusive than the others, as the curse is never explained or resolved. This hi-lo series is harmless but inessential. There are three other fall 2016 books in this series. [Review covers the following Atlas of Cursed Places titles: Skeleton Tower, Breakdown, and Deadman Anchor.] Copyright 2017 Horn Book Guide Reviews.
