We Take School POs
All of our bargain books are brand new, perfectly readable and represent a tremendous value! The bargain books are, however, publisher overstocks and remainders that TRW purchases at deep discounts. As a result, they may have a small mark through the UPC bar code or a small mark on the side of the book. This is simply to mark the books so they cannot be sent back to a publisher. Because of this, bargain books are non returnable to TRW unless they are damaged. Please consider this before ordering.

Reviewed by School Library Journal Reviews (SLJ Reviews 2010 November)

Gr 3–5—What should be a tasty buffet of tidbits about seven different cultural markers is a sloppy, unappetizing mess. Each spread has a title, but the content does not always match. In Transportation, for example, stagecoaches are discussed in a section on dangers at sea. The fact blurbs are interesting, perhaps due to their extreme brevity. They are also scattershot; covering five centuries with just five factoids doesn't cut it. A second time line, at the bottom of each page, showing the range of years covered in the time line above, is unnecessary. Pass on these.
