All of our bargain books are brand new, perfectly readable and represent a tremendous value! The bargain books are, however, publisher overstocks and remainders that TRW purchases at deep discounts. As a result, they may have a small mark through the UPC bar code or a small mark on the side of the book. This is simply to mark the books so they cannot be sent back to a publisher. Because of this, bargain books are non returnable to TRW unless they are damaged. Please consider this before ordering.

These Spanish translations are unimaginative but adequate. The bright, attractive photos--often of children engaged in various experiments--are the best part of these limited-vocabulary books. Royston sometimes struggles to define terms such as [cf2]electricity[cf1] in short sentences for an uninitiated audience. The books could be good starting points for Spanish-speaking youngsters curious about science. [Review covers these La ciencia en mi mundo titles: [cf2]Agua[cf1], [cf2]Fuerzas y movimiento[cf1], [cf2]Imanes[cf1], [cf2]Luz y oscuridad[cf1], Sólidos, líquidos y gases[cf1] and [cf2]Usar la electricidad[cf1].] Copyright 2007 Horn Book Guide Reviews.
