All of our bargain books are brand new, perfectly readable and represent a tremendous value! The bargain books are, however, publisher overstocks and remainders that TRW purchases at deep discounts. As a result, they may have a small mark through the UPC bar code or a small mark on the side of the book. This is simply to mark the books so they cannot be sent back to a publisher. Because of this, bargain books are non returnable to TRW unless they are damaged. Please consider this before ordering.

This book makes its complicated topic accessible to young children. The emotional subjects are presented in a neutral, dry tone ("A divorce is the end of a marriage"), which may help young readers gain perspective on their own situations. Stock photos throughout serve to encourage interest and discussion. Reading list. Glos., ind. Copyright 2008 Horn Book Guide Reviews.

Gr 2–4— Murphy addresses these emotionally charged topics in a basic and direct manner. The book defines the terms and explains the differences between separation and divorce. It also covers various emotions and feelings that are often associated with them. The writing is frank yet sensitive enough in its approach and the accompanying full-color photographs effectively illustrate the text. A solid introduction to a tough topic.—Kristen Frey, Rocky River Public Library, OH
