It won First Place, Best YA, at the 2016 Southern California Book Festival; "10,000 Steps a Day in L.A.: 52 Walking Adventures," a perennial SoCal Bestseller that takes readers to hidden and iconic L.A. landmarks; "Skinny White Freak," an illustrated novel set in 1970s Malibu about confronting a camp bully and Winner, Best YA, at the 2017 Los Angeles Book Festival; and "High Fives, Pennant Drives, and Fernandomania: A Fan's History of the Los Angeles Dodgers' Glory Years, 1977-1981," a look back at the team's last championship era through the radio calls of announcer Vin Scully. It was named one of the Best Baseball Books of 2012 by the Daily News. Born in Hollywood, California, Haddad earned an MFA degree from USC film school.
