Contributor Bio(s): Sproles, Clay: - Clay Sproles became an author by accident. It wasn't planned, and there was no forethought involved. His oldest son was finishing up a tour in the military and was looking for a new career path. His son had always shown a creative side and an ability to write beautiful stories and music. Clay, attempting to encourage his son to try writing, decided to inspire him by writing a children's Christmas story. The story was called Snow Way Out, and Clay had involved his son in some of the writing and tried to inspire him to do a story of his own. After the completion of the Snow Way Out Christmas story, two things happened, His son did not pursue a writing career, and Clay decided he really enjoyed it to a point he completed more than 10 stories the first year and all should be published by the end of 2019. Most of the books written in the first year were picture books written in verse. More recent projects have been for middle grade, which should be available starting December 2019. Clay currently lives in East Tennessee on a small homestead with his wife, 4 dogs, and a fat cat. He enjoys gardening, fishing, and woodworking when he is not writing. Clay believes books are like children in some ways. They are born with the idea, grown during the writing, and then sent off into the world. The reviews received on the books are like letters to home, letting you know how your child is doing. So if you read a book, please leave an honest review.
