Publisher Description: Paul wrote a letter to Philemon about Christian fellowship. Philemon came to know Jesus during one of Paul's earlier missionary journeys. Philemon owned at least one slave by the name Onesimus. Onesimus was an unbeliever when he stole money and ran away from Philemon. However, Onesimus met Paul while in Rome and came to know the Lord. Paul encouraged Onesimus to return to Philemon and wrote this letter to Philemon on behalf of Onesimus. The three letters written by John discuss the fundamentals of the Faith, Faith in Christ, and provides valuable details relating to our Faith in Christ including our personal relationships. The book of Jude was written by Jude, who was a half-brother of Jesus. Jude presented his letter to present instructions concerning the fundamental of the Faith. The books of 1, 2, 3 John, and Jude, offer important facts regarding our Faith and how we should conduct ourselves among other Christians and non-Christians alike. |
