Walter lived and wrote nineteen of these tales; eight of the nineteen are fictional depictions of far-out motorcycle events that could happen. Jane Ann Kern wrote four stories before her untimely death. Some tales are short, and some are long. Each tale was intensively edited to provide a good reader experience. Ginger Maddox lives in a cabin on a small wooded acreage in the heartland with her husband and two boys; horses roam the pastures and neighbors chat across the barbed-wire fence. Walter F. Kern worked thirty-five years in telephone research after receiving a master's degree in electrical engineering. He then switched careers several times, eventually becoming an author of articles, features, and books-mostly about motorcycles and motorcycling.
