He is a former Naval Officer with seagoing experience up to the duties of Commanding Officer and a Master Mariner. He holds a Master's of Science in Shipping and an MBA in Human Resources Management. His research interests include Innovation in Shipping, Environmental Protection, Maritime Safety and Cyber Security.
