Publisher Description: Alice is the Pastor's Wife Who Left the Church. She met David who became her husband in college. Their marriage was not ideal even though he was a pastor. Eventually she returned to her family home on the Pee Dee River near Florence, South Carolina. To support her life there she became a school teacher at Williams High School, which she had attended. JoAnne DeWitt, the author, lived with her family near the Pee Dee River. She began writing at an early age and her story of a Fifth Grade trip to Columbia, the state capital, was published in the Darlington News and Press. Her writings have been published in periodicals and in newspapers from her early beginnings. In addition to her writing and publishing, she has taught writing and language arts in classes in high school to the college level. |
