Publisher Description: Robert Russa Moton (1867-1940) was an African American educator. He was born on a plantation in Amelia County, Virginia. He served as an administrator at Hampton Institute and was named principal of Tuskegee Institute in 1915. He also served as an advisor to several politicians in Washington. His works include: Finding a Way Out: An Autobiography (1920), What the Negro Thinks (1929) and The Tuskegee Student (1934). |
