Publisher Description:

Our beloved, pet German shepherd, an abused rescued puppy, collapsed. His back legs were paralyzed leaving him unable to run, walk or sit. With little hope of survival, we journeyed through the struggles and challenges of his surgery, rehabilitation and recovery. Strengthened by love and faith we found the miracle of healing and the bond of family.

Contributor Bio(s): Gagnier, Susan Arce: - Susan lives on Amelia Island in Northeast Florida with her husband, Frank, and their three pups; Angel, Cowboy and Arthur. While new to published writing, she has been telling stories for many years to anyone who would listen. Susan started telling stories to her children and later to her students, clients, family and friends. Most enjoyed the stories and would often ask for more. "There is something very special," Susan believes, "about stories. Whether they be parables, fables, legends or stories, the time spent listening and enjoying can bring healing to the soul and rest to the body." "Some of my favorite memories include listening to or telling stories. I still remember sitting on my Grandfather Gampy's lap along with my sister, Gail, as he read, "The Night Before Christmas." My father would insist on taking home movies with a very bright light shining in our eyes. Gampy loved to tell us the story of how he became bald; I think it was somehow my grandmother's fault! I remember, too, my Irish- Scots father and his three brothers gathering to tell stories with all four brothers taking a part." "Although I greatly admire those whose ability it is to write books hundreds of pages long, it will never be my intention to write a lengthy novel. I simply wish to tell a short story and to tell it well." An avid reader, Susan's favorite authors are: George MacDonald, C.S. Lewis, Jan Karon and Patrick Taylor.
