TRUE WORSHIPERS

Are you a true worshiper? Jesus says "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him."

To seek for something means to earnestly search and it cannot easily be found. Anything you search for means it is not easily found or available. It is rare, few in number, far and apart to find.

Nothing is hidden from God's sight in the heavens, on earth, under the earth, and in the seas. If God is seeking true worshippers it means they are indeed scarce, rare and difficult to find like searching for a needle hidden in a stack of hay or as tedious a task as finding the exact grain of sand on the beach.

When Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well, the central teaching that He communicates to us is about true worship and the characteristics that mark true worshipers.

It's the Savior's uncanny way of starting this rather unusual glimpse in this woman's life. In so doing, the Lord touches a sensitive nerve of brokenness and shame in her life that is in need of healing.

In the confines of the Samaritan woman's soul, Jesus draws out timeless and divine principles that underpin the lives of true worshipers.

With precision like that of a scalpel in a skillful Surgeon's hand, Jesus dissects segments of her heart's condition out of which He unveils essential elements to opening up and unleashing the true worshiper in all of us.

Jesus confronts the blinding effects of prejudice, limitation, and her tumultuous marital life. In the process, she finds new beginnings.

Jesus opens her heart to reconciliation, her eyes to Prophetic perception, and ignites in her the untapped passion for serving her true God.
