Contributor Bio(s): 陈, Chen 谦: - 陈谦生于中国南宁,1989年赴美留学,获电子工程硕士,后长期任职于硅谷,并开始文学创作。2008年开始专业写作。作品发表于《收获》、《人民文学》等一流文学期刊,并多次获奖。陈谦被认为是当代最优秀的海外华文作家之一。 Qian Chen grew up in Nanning, China and came to the United States in 1989, where she received a MS degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Idaho, and worked as a logic design engineer until early 2008. During her engineering career, Chen's stories and essays have been published in People's Literature, Harvest and other publications in China and abroad. Her first novel, Xia Ju, was published in 2002. Her novellas, Listen to the Caged Bird Sing, and Brunches received the People's Literature Award, one of the most prestigious literary awards in China, and her novella Teresa's Rogue received the Yu Da Fu Fiction Prize. She is considered to be one of the best oversea Chinese writers.
