Publisher Description:

"Sometimes in this life we are faced with a fear that if we don't face will just reappear."

This first book in the "Penny Series" depicts a powerful life lesson and strategies for children to use when faced with a bullying situation. In this book, Penny the main character is tormented by a bully twice her size. As she tries to escape her sadness by venturing into the forest beyond her house she encounters a magical creature that will give her life changing advice, a new perspective and courage to face to her bully. The magical creature requests her return to the forest once she follows his advice so that she can be gifted one final blessing. Discover if Penny is brave enough to stand up to her bully and find out the reward that's in store for her if she does.

Written by award winning author Sheri LeBlanc who is known for her charming gift of rhyme, this story will delight the children, teachers, caregivers and parents who read it with it's clever poetic rhythm. Also illustrated by Sheri LeBlanc, the book's colorful illustrations are full of incredible symbolism, whimsy and detail.

The book concludes with a powerful "Penny Pledge" poem that challenges children to stand up, speak out and come together to end bullying in the world.

"Change happens one penny at a time."

The book offers a variety of resources for readers to use to research the ever pressing topic of bullying.
