Publisher Description:
When a miller tells the king that his daughter can spin straw into gold, the king locks her up to await his treasure. Suddenly, a strange little man appears, offering to carry out her task--but he demands payment. She finally promises him something most precious, and years later, he comes back to claim his due.

Paul Galdone's fluid storytelling brings new life to this familiar tale. The large trim size makes this an ideal choice for reading aloud with little ones.
