In this elegant and thoughtful work, C.S. Lewis questions the pain and suffering that occur everyday and how this contrasts with the notion of a God that is both omnipotent and good?the answer to this critical theological problem is within these pages. Mere Christianity: Uncovers common ground upon which all those who have Christian faith can stand together. The Screwtape Letters: At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C.S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old devil to his nephew Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man. The Great Divorce: C.S. Lewis takes us on a profound journey through both heaven and hell in this engaging allegorical tale. Using his extraordinary descriptive powers, Lewis introduces us to supernatural beings who will change the way we think about good and evil. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe: C.S. Lewis's classic novel and Christian allegory about four children who find a magical path to the land of Narnia. |
