All of our bargain books are brand new, perfectly readable and represent a tremendous value! The bargain books are, however, publisher overstocks and remainders that TRW purchases at deep discounts. As a result, they may have a small mark through the UPC bar code or a small mark on the side of the book. This is simply to mark the books so they cannot be sent back to a publisher. Because of this, bargain books are non returnable to TRW unless they are damaged. Please consider this before ordering.

These geography reference books disguised as travel guides use tidbits of trivia and engaging photographs (e.g., the tomato-throwing festival in [cf2]Espana[cf1]) to try to hook readers. Though it's an interesting approach, the encyclopedic texts tend to overpower the guidebook format, and many of the pictures are stock. Translation errors, typos, and several English-only resource lists weaken the Spanish-language editions. Reading list, timeline. Glos., ind. Attempting to make each nation seem "cool," these leveled-text editions use a breezy narrative directly addressed to the reader. Layouts are too busy, timelines vary in usefulness (with [cf2]Italy[cf1] stopping at 1980), and related motion picture suggestions are more appropriate for older audiences. These books are better for armchair traveling than doing research. Reading list. Glos., ind.
