All of our bargain books are brand new, perfectly readable and represent a tremendous value!
The bargain books are, however, publisher overstocks and remainders that TRW purchases at
deep discounts. As a result, they may have a small mark through the UPC bar code or a small
mark on the side of the book. This is simply to mark the books so they cannot be sent back to
a publisher. Because of this, bargain books are non returnable to TRW unless they are damaged.
Please consider this before ordering.

True to series format, questions and answers are loosely grouped to cover muscle structure, operation, role in exercise, injuries, and diseases. A final catch-all section includes questions about tics, ear wiggling, and stem cell repair. Occasional photos, which aren't always relevant to content, are interspersed. Features sections explore tangential topics such as steroids, animal muscles, and effects of space travel. Reading list, websites. Bib., glos., ind. Copyright 2008 Horn Book Guide Reviews.

Gr 7 Up— Chock-full of interesting facts, this book answers 101 questions with concise, factual statements that explain the characteristics, functions, and growth of muscles. Small black-and-white photos, charts, and diagrams appear throughout, but there is no full-body diagram. Copious endnotes model responsible research practice. Although divided into chapters, the question-and-answer format does not lend itself to report writing. However, the index helps students find specific information. An interesting book on a topic about which adolescents, especially for aspiring athletes.—Robin Henry, Griffin Middle School, Frisco, TX[Page 154]. Copyright 2008 Reed Business Information.
